For a more comprehensive look about AFA, you should go read the anime/manga blogs such as Dark Mirage, Zero Hero etc since I’m just a casual passerby (in a way).
Okay, I only went to day 1 because I had a Nanowrimo write-in to hold but in any case, I went after it. This entry is me wandering around with Nerwen. Pics are kinda random cause we walked randomly.
Entrance tickets were $5 a day or $8 for both.
I went to the Gaiaonline booth cause one of the Nanowrimoers were there and she was promoting the Singapore guild! They gave flyers with free gold codes. I’ll need to join after this week cause I’d be free then, hur hur.
She said you can get the stuff by redeeming your gold or whatever, in any case. JOIN THE GAIA SINGAPORE GUILD. Hahaha.
As I went with Nerwen, we walked around the hall looking at stuff.
Manga Kissa Comic Cafe had a booth there to promo their cafe, it’s somewhere near Sunplaza and Park Lane. In the contacts it says 40 Prinsep street and you can read manga and have your drink bla bla there.
There were standees for some anime and YAY, Skip Beat! I like Skip Beat a lot, the heroine’s given up on love and is really stubborn on what she wants.
Uh, well in a way that she gave up, but she’ll find love again, somehow!
We wandered near the stage area to see… Tamagotchis. THEY ARE SO FREAKING CUTE.
Yes.
I was tempted to go up but whatever, I still got to take pics at least!
Domokun!!!
The Sky Crawlers, coming soon on the 27th which is… technically yesterday from the time of posting this. Heh, there was a little room with the artwork and in the making of it. Quite interesting actually.
Squeenix! I mean, Square Enix. I couldn’t take pics of the FF figs since, well they were crowded in any case, they were pretty, pretty!
There were rows of gashapons on the sides of the hall by the way. I didn’t buy anything cause I had no coins. SADNESS.
Pullips! They’re from Magma Heritage. They brought Pullips mainly for their booth for AFA. You can check out others in their website or to their shop.
They’re pretty sweet but I’m not interested in Pullips, I’m interested in Obitsu-s… Oh well!
This is for the KHR fans on my f-list since I figured you’d wanna see the figs.
Kunkka of Imaginary Friends Studio was doing a demo, they were there selling their artwork and the Pepper Project, heh.
I didn’t know they drew Star Wars stuff… and ewoks. Cause I remember… Well, nevermind the ewoks.
And why, yes! There was a tournament going on too.
You have no idea how I had to wait to take this sneaky pic of his t-shirt.
Pretty interesting fight and Blanka won by the way. Heh. At least the first round since we didn’t stick longer than that to watch.
Yes, NDSi was there, the girl of the shop asked me if I wanted a look see but I said no cause I figured she’d get freaked at me taking pics of it or something, they’re coming here next year or something (cause this is November anyway) but the Japanese version so localized version, I can’t remember when but around then too.
Anyway, we know we just need to change the plug for charging the NDSi anywho since it’s all the same since games are not region locked. Well, except for the new features of downloading things then, yeaaah.
You can’t exactly see it but the painting on the Gundam model was gorgeous and you can see why it was the champion and all.
Doraemon and some Pokemon!! They’re so cute and happy.
Pretty Cure. Can you believe my Ma actually told me I should cosplay Pretty Cure instead of the other characters I was doing? PRETTY CURE?!?!?! I am SO not a magical girl. I mean, sure… I like it but I’d totally be out of character if I did one of them.
I left off the Bandai stuff for last because… well… You’ll see. Also, yes, they also had the silly stupid edamame that I liked. They had the special coloured ones though instead of just green! Anywho…
YOU CAN MAKE FOOD WITH THE TOYS!!! AAAARGH!! AAAAH!!
Toy animals that animalize themselves when you open the eggs, hur hur.
THIS! THIS WINS FREAKIEST TOY EVER FOR AFA.
It’s a facebank. You slot coins in it but since this was in a glass casing, I had to wake it up by flashing my camera at it and then Nerwen and I freaked out. Hence, I took a video.
Yes, I sound like a valley girl here, whatever.
AND THAT IS THE END OF AFA FOR ME. Sadly, I didn’t see much of my friends cause I came late, heh.
