Around noon… At a secluded mysterious hill that I called “The Mysterious Hill of Secludedness” in which we had to walk up hills, past old rail tracks and fields. Let’s see what we’re going to do at said hill…
The Mysterious Hill of Secludedness has an address but I’m not putting it here since you’ll have to find out yourself when you book at ZOVB Singapore. HO HO HO! You can figure out what we’re doing by now. The cast for the morning is as follows, Avariel and Raven were going to be our photographers while Jo, (guest star) Ros and I would roll on!
We’re going Zorbing! Or since the brand here in Singapore is called Zovbing, WE’RE GOING ZOVBING!
It was just us and the guys of Zovb. And some remote controlled airplane enthusiasts. We were waiting for Raven first since she would be able to take our photos while Avariel took a video etc. Yes, that’s her there in red.
The huge soccer ball thing was like a marker for us, I think because they started to deflate it by the time Raven reached us. We weren’t going to use that one apparently.
It was this one! WITH THE HARNESS! The guys briefed us on how to put on the harness and safety stuff. Apparently it wasn’t the zorb ball that we were thinking of. We had been thinking it was the one without the harness where you walked around or sometimes see at festivals or events around here. The super tame ones.
SO THIS IS HOW WE ROLL. Or not. This was a video of the girls who did it after us, ho ho. But basically that’s how it’s done! Our actual footage of us is much longer. You don’t really need to see us putting the harness really slowly.
You may think that because it’s got a harness, it might be not as exciting as those you see without them. HA!!!!! Yeah right! This was more insane because the guys can actually just stop the ball while you’re upside down and staring at your friend! Well, not staring. Screaming rather.
If you want to do this, go book at Zovb Singapore. The rates and everything are on the site.
After rolling around, we were off to the Flyer. We said goodbye to Ros and picked up Mintea and another guest star: Jerrick! The price for an adult ticket is $29.50 but if we flashbacked to the episode where we did the Big Walk, we got free tickets to it and 25% discount for 4 other people. Thus we divided the total cost and paid $13.70 each, HO HO HO. How nice. Meanwhile, I don’t know how many different designs they have for the tickets in total!
Before you enter the capsules, they make you go through the security check. It’s all like “pretend airport” because they call it The Flyer and thus you’re going on a flight… and you get the idea.
You can pick up an audio guide on the way to the capsules too. I don’t know, it has facts and histories of Singapore but it was also talking about some chili crab in one of the segments. Suffice to say, we didn’t listen to it much!
You got to walk/hop onto the flyer capsule. It keeps on moving so get in with the rest of your friends as a group. If you’re too late, TOO BAD. A ride takes 30 minutes so you better go to the loo first in case you were eating Popeye’s at the building previously or something.
There’s an in-flight compass which is pretty much a fancy way of saying map in the capsule cabin. It shows pretty much what is around there from an aerial view. We didn’t really need it since we’ve been to the places that we could see in the distance from there!
From there we could also see the F1 stands for the races.
And buildings. The entire ride, we took pictures like woah. That’s all what you can do in there anyway. A sightsee of town from high above. Still, it’s usually best if you got a discount or go on a day where you’ll see some other events happening at the same to make it worth it.
Oh! At the end of the ride, we got to see photos of us. Or rather before you get into a capsule, you pass through a green wall room for photographers to take a picture of you. You’d get a ticket and at the end, you can see if you want to have some printed! We chose different designs. There was one where it was night and there were fireworks.
Naturally most of us chose that one even if we rode the Flyer in the day.
Hohoho! I’d like to try that giant inflated ball 😀
Hehehe you can go book! Do it with some other friends, it will be fuuuun!
