No fancy titles for this post. We’re going to Disneyland. Or rather, we have gone to Disneyland. YAY! YAY! That’s the tram to get there from the carpark or Downtown Disney which is quite a distance away!
Tickets out! Yes! We’re going to the main Disneyland. The one in Anaheim, THE ACTUAL DISNEYLAAAAAAAAND.
Posing in front of the Disney lawn with Main Street USA in the background with the train!
First we took a picture with the Walt Disney and Mickey statue and said we’d rendevous there in the evening. (Meanwhile, I’ve other pictures about Disney and some other places in the USA on my lomography album here.)
We went around and there was this filming crew near the castle. Well, you can see the castle in the background. What’s happening?
Filming at Disneyland! Probably for a commercial. Interestingly, that day was also the day Victoria Beckham, David Beckham and family visited Disneyland.
They passed by us and while I didn’t see any paparazzi around, an article about their visit with pictures were online!
Went to get a fast pass and while waiting, decided to get at least ONE picture with a princess.
I chose MERIDA.
I mean duh. Archery + horse + KSJDHFKSJDHFKJSDH!!!! = We need to take a picture with Merida.
I queued up and the staff helping with the line were amusing and told jokes to pass the time too in fake Scottish accents. OH AND IN HER TENT THING, there were three black bears, YES the ones you see in the trailer/movie and they talked bear talk to each other. When the photographer says cheese, they all look towards the camera with Merida and us for the photo.
KYAAAA~~~
We were early enough too before the queue got really long and hey, the movie haven’t even came out then!
And then fastpass time for the various rides! You can get a fastpass by scanning your ticket into a machine near the ride and then you come back when it’s your stated time!
To prevent abuse of this system is that you have to wait to get another one, so in the meantime you can actually wait at another ride or have a looksee around at things.
RIDE ALL THE ROLLERCOASTER RIDES! The Matterhorn was unfortunately closed for the day but I got to ride all the rest. TheHungry Monsters trio rode Big Thunder Mountain for at least eight times! They just queued and got on and did it over and over again.
It was a fun ride.
Oh and for Splash Mountain, it was that splashy! The weather is cool but the sunshine and LACK OF HUMIDITY dried our clothes off fast.
Younglings! I went past them since I was heading to one of the new STAR WARS RIDE HA HA HAH.
Time to get into the ship for Star Tours. You get your flight visors (aka 3d glasses) and fasten your seatbelt in the ship. Heh heh, no spoilers but the ending makes everyone go “AAAH!”.
To “waste” time for the next fastpass available, there are places to play and looksee without a queue like Tarzan’s treehouse. It tells his story and his mother is in there too.
Or take a jungle cruiiiise. Our captain was funny. In fact, the speaking staff were good at entertaining people.
Lunch were snacks in Toontown and we also had ice cream at Main Street. Cruella De Ville is SO EVIL AND COOL.
There was such a long line for her as she hung out near one of the Mickey theatres and she’d be so fashion diva and “No, no take off the hat. Yes, this is much better, daahling”.
Marceline… You opened a hotel?
Nearby was a dentist and although you can’t go in, you can hear people laughing or screaming about being in there.
Mickey’s soundsational parade! Tinkerbell is so sassy, the chimney sweeps are very good dancers (well, all the dancers in the parade are!) and Mary Poppins and Bert had a scooter thing as they rode by. Simba was chilling out on his float, listening to the music.
Just some bits from Mickey’s Soundsational Parade. It was at this point we were like, “Wow, we really are in Disneyland!”. You can also see nearly all the princesses on Rapunzel’s float!
Like, maybe after all those years ALONE, Rapunzel’s like “OMGOMGOMG, So many people. How do I… Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, HUARGH EVERYONE, COME ONTO MY FLOAT? I DON’T WANT TO BE ON MY OWN”.
Or maybe the rest are like “GET IN LOSER, WE’RE GOING PARADING” and just piled up in there and grabbed Rapunzel’s tower cause she can’t go anywhere without it or she’ll freak out.
Tiana couldn’t bunk in with them cause she’s got her crocodile friend and everyone else for hers. So fabulous!
Also, the whole soundtrack for this parade is so nice, I wonder where you can get it or if it is available for purchase.
So after that, we walked around some more and ate dinner at one of the cafeteria styled restaurants in New Orleans section. THEN, it was time to get a spot to watch the fireworks!
And that’s the end of our Disney trip. I really like the song mix they played while blasting off all the fireworks too.
Disneyland and all the staff sure knows how to put on a great show.
Ps. The postboxes in Disney are real but they won’t have a stamp saying posted from Disney and there are no stamps sold in the stores there, the nearest place to get a stamp is in the business center of the Disney hotel near Downtown Disney.
Next post up on Wednesday! Final episode of this N.E.Mation series at the end of this week!
