Liquid City Volume 3 launch was on Saturday at Ngee Ann City’s Kinokuniya. Yaaay!
It’s quite a thick book with many stories. The theme was the end of the world and heh, somehow it reminded of our prose version of Happiness at the End of the World.
The first time at a kino event where it is so hard to get a picture of all the artists involved since they’re so many! And it’s not even all of them in the book too. Some of the artists aren’t in Singapore so oh maaan, if you want to get autographs, travel around? Heh.
Nick of Geek Crusade was the moderator for the launch and it was quite a concise but entertaining session.
Anyway, check out Liquid City Volume 3, it has different styles, stories and since it is an anthology of sorts, you might find one favourite out of all the stories too.
Meanwhile, after that, I went off to the Promontory at Marina Bay for the Garfield Run! It’s the first Garfield Run here so, that’s pretty interesting?
Anyway, it really was a family affair kind of thing which is nice.
I joined the 3km fun run because the starting time was around 6.30pm and by the time I finished it would be time to break fast since it’s Ramadhan!
Participants of the couple run coming back, they get a ‘matching’ medal set. Oh and the area was quite nice, a Milo truck was there, instagram booth, bouncy ship? Plus, free ice cream.
It’s quite scenic because on the same evening, it was the National Day Parade preview so I got to see the chinooks fly past with a huge Singapore flag.
Woooh, national day parade previiiiew. All red and white.
Ok, I finished it in time. A few minutes later while I walked back to the train station was time for buka, yaaaay.
You can see the t-shirts, they’re quite cute. So yay!
Liquid city launch and the Garfield run on the same day. Art and action.
By the way, the next run I’d go on is probably the Shape run, so see you guys if you’re there? I saw a lot of my friends participating in this Garfield run because it’s a fun run and thus more ‘chill’ compared to other runs. I didn’t want to do an intense one during Ramadhan anyway.
