Okay, Nuffnang organized a flash mob on the 13th June 2009 at 5pm. Or at least the details was “5pm till 7pm”. I was thinking flash mobs happen just within minutes so why do they need hours?
Mind you, this is the FIRST flash mob they’ve tried to organize in Singapore so if you’ve googled or yahooed about it, you’re gonna read the reactions of the people who went.
At the moment, if you searched for blog posts on it, half the people are saying it’s lame while the other half is saying it’s awesome. I’m going a bit “Ehhhh but it’s their first one so they could be better next time” since I know it must have taken quite a bit of planning and all too.
So pros and cons of the event!
These are not the flash mobbers. They’re passerby people wondering what is happening even before the flash mob started.
It was yesterday on the 2nd June at the Iluma in Bugis (Singapore, if you’re not local reading this). And oh man was it insane. The invite said 2pm but it launched at 1pm since I think there were too many people and we were all gonna block the mall’s entrance or something if we waited another hour.
I arrived there at 11.30am.

Oh and this production was an Australian/Singapore collab thing if you didn’t know. We did the script over Skype, international phone calls when it started to lag, Google documents and Celtx.
Curtin university students on the Australian side, uhh non-students in the Singapore side and a whole lot of rushing of uploading things online and downloading said clip to and fro both sides of the productions. Heh.

They’re selling these food USB at the school bookshop where I am at. Verily amused. There’s mini hamburgers, tarts and other food items too. AM tempted to get the sushi ones. Hmmm. They’re $29.90 and at 2GBs. I know it’s expensive for the size but it’s more for the shape of it.
Meanwhile, had a little class on jewelry manufacturing at JDMIS on Wednesday night. Never have I wanted more jewelry than then. I learnt how people made jewelry and oh man… If you want someone to give you a really expensive wedding ring of sorts. Ask for a good quality pave (I don’t have the special e with the stroke on top on this keyboard) since that would mean the ring would have to be hand made just for youuuu. Anyway hand manufactured jewelry = very very time consuming.

And a really work in progress preview trailer since people have been curious what we had been doing. Sheesh, people! Be patient! We didn’t even get the time to have the special effects composited and all yet! Effects will be overseen by 4Dpencil and yes, I know you’re probably going what the heck at the techno music. That’s not the real music for the final piece.

Yes! I went to the Jewelry Design & Management International School on Saturday, 10am for their course on making rings. What I have to say is that it is ridiculous that there are very few reviews about this school online. At least I can’t find much reviews on it especially when after experiencing it myself and that it’s absolutely good?!? I suppose the people attending the classes aren’t really major bloggers anywho.
